about

From the remnants of their local punk rock music scene emerges this 7 piece band from Long Island, NY. (former members of INSIDE, BlOOD RED, DEARLY DEPARTED) By merging their individually eclectic musical tastes, the members of STAR HARBOR have fused elements of indie rock, folk, and outlaw country to form a sound as familiar to the ear as it is original. When the four original members, vocalist Mike Mallamo, guitarists Jason Rind and Tom Comerford, and drummer Kenny Grau first came together, they decided that all traditional rules for songwriting, within genre and sound, were off the table. Their goal was simply to write songs in a style all their own while retaining a level of pop sensibility to be enjoyed by any and all musical pallets. With the addition of bassist Dave Sacrestano, keyboardist Jay Orig, and percussionist Fred Grau (twin brother of drummer Kenny Grau) the final line-up was set and the band headed to the famed VUDU STUDIOS in Port Jefferson on Long Island where they have just completed their debut full length album entitled, "The Sun, The Moon, and The Open Road". With the wind at their back and their compass firmly set, the band is ready to bring their debut full length, 'THE SUN, THE MOON, & THE OPEN ROAD' to life at your nearest port.
